Richard Avedon: Relationships
- Exhibition design
- 2024
- Rotterdam, Netherlands
Kunsthal Rotterdam is presenting a large-scale retrospective of the American photographer Richard Avedon (1923-2004). With over a hundred and thirty photographs, the exhibition Richard Avedon: Relationships sheds light on Avedon’s groundbreaking contribution to fashion photography as well as his distinctive photographic portraits. His powerful, expressive portraits capture people like the writer Truman Capote, the actress Marlene Dietrich, the musician Bob Dylan, the artist Andy Warhol, and the actress and model Nastassja Kinski. Relationships is a celebration of Avedon's innovative power and creativity and shows how the photographer was able to convey the complexity and vulnerability of human relationships in the photographic frame like no other. Textile generative typography, Plaid made with merino virgin wool extrafine 19 micron
100x170 cm
Calabria is the place where mountains and sea merge in an inextricable embrace, creating a landscape that hides its inhabitants, while they take refuge within the social fabric and history that has shaped them. In this way, they appear to be hiding away from the outside world. The plaid design emphasizes this concept with code-generated blots that devour and conceal the outlines of the typography. Photoshoot in Calabria At Lanificio Leo, Pentadattilo and Scilla (RC, Italy). Photoshoot by Davide Locatelli.

Framing Graphics
- Editorial design
- 2021
- Rome, Italy
The editorial product created intends to give an account of the research carried out and emphasize the figure of the graphic designer in the field of film productions. The analysis is limited to certain films, selected on the criteria of quantity and quality of the graphic elements present within them. The product will investigate films that start from the 1980s as these are the years in which the figure of the graphic designer begins to be more recognized and increasingly present in the credits of films. Exceptions are some films considered cult before the 80s which deserved to be mentioned for the importance of the graphic contributions within themselves and the comparison they offer in relation to today's films. Specifically, the editorial product is structured as an archive in which all the frames are contained, in which graphic elements appear, collected and divided according to the criteria analyzed in the research phase. Work done with Claudia Nazionale and Matteo Mastromoro.
